charleston venues
Montage Palmetto Bluff sits within the larger 20,000‑acre Palmetto Bluff conservation community, located about two hours south of Charleston. The resort itself includes over 200 guest accommodations, multiple restaurants, and extensive event spaces overlooking the May River. The property’s most recognizable wedding location is the Somerset Chapel, a white waterfront chapel surrounded by oak trees and river views that has become one of the most photographed ceremony sites in the Lowcountry.
Montage Palmetto Bluff | (Outside of CHARLESTON SC)
Located along the banks of the May River in the Lowcountry town of Bluffton, Montage Palmetto Bluff is one of the most refined resort wedding venues in the Southeast. The property blends classic Southern architecture with expansive natural surroundings, including centuries‑old oak trees, riverfront views, and quiet village‑style streets. Weddings here often center around the iconic waterfront chapel, followed by receptions in the resort’s elegant ballrooms or tented outdoor spaces. Because the property spans thousands of acres, it offers a wide range of photography locations—from oak alleys and river docks to scenic marsh landscapes. The combination of resort amenities and preserved Lowcountry scenery makes Montage Palmetto Bluff feel both luxurious and deeply connected to the coastal environment.
