Originally built in 1964 as a federal office building, The Dewberry was fully restored and reopened as a luxury hotel in 2016. The property features boutique accommodations, multiple event spaces, and a rooftop bar (The Citrus Club) with panoramic views of Charleston. Its central downtown location allows for easy access to nearby churches, historic streets, and guest accommodations, making it one of the most convenient venues in the city.

The Dewberry Charleston offers a more enclosed, intimate setting compared to the rooftop and interior spaces. Surrounded by the hotel’s architecture, it creates a quiet, controlled environment with softer light and minimal distractions. This space works especially well for first looks, cocktail hours, dance floors, tented reception space, and small ceremonies.

The rooftop offers one of the best views in Charleston, with a full skyline backdrop that works especially well for sunset portraits and cocktail hour. The indoor event spaces feature clean lines, neutral tones, and mid-century design elements. These areas provide a polished, controlled environment for receptions.
