Kiawah River




Kiawah River is located on Johns Island, about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, within a master‑planned waterfront community centered around Lowcountry conservation and outdoor living. The event spaces overlook the Kiawah River marsh system, offering expansive water and marsh views that are uncommon this close to Charleston. The venue typically hosts ceremonies on the open waterfront lawn with reception spaces designed to blend into the natural surroundings.

Located along the scenic marshes of Johns Island just outside Charleston, Kiawah River offers a relaxed Lowcountry setting for waterfront weddings. The venue sits within a thoughtfully designed coastal community where wide marsh views, tidal creeks, and large oak trees define the landscape. The open waterfront lawn and surrounding natural scenery create a setting that feels distinctly coastal without being overly formal. From a photography perspective, the unobstructed marsh views and western sunsets provide some of the most beautiful evening light in the Charleston area, making it an excellent venue for couples who want a laid‑back waterfront celebration with a strong sense of place.
