brand new timwill.com

welcome to the home-grown timwill.com it's a new year (well, almost) so i thought we could use a new site. the old timwill.com featured just 60 images. now we have more than 240 images for you to peruse... there are also lots of other upgrades but I'd sound really nerdy if I started listing them. check it out, get your friends to check it out. feel free to leave me some feedback here or in the email form on the site

honeymoon.

these aren't intended to make anyone jealous but when you experience a place like this you have to share it. we stayed a week here in the grenadines and all that paradise was so exhausting we decided to stop in miami for a couple nights on the way back. i always liked the beach in miami but it just couldn't compare after our stay in the caribbean. on a dorky gear note: all the honeymoon photos were taken with a little point and shoot. if you're getting into photography and you want something small that can pack a punch, check out the Canon Powershot G9. that's what we used the whole week and that little thing is incredible. enjoy the photos...

our photobooth

at the wedding we made this totally ghetto looking photobooth where our guests could hop in and take pictures of themselves. somehow it still worked out and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone out there getting married. it's really fun getting photos of all of your guests (especially when they're a little "uninhibited") here are a few that i liked.

back in the saddle.

For those of you who don't know me, I am now Mr. Willoughby. I think I graduated to 'MR.' when I got married last week. Now there is a Mrs. Willoughby.

I just got home from an amazing three weeks on the road. I was in D.C. shooting for two days, then I headed up to Michigan to tie the knot with my amazing fiance (now wife) Sarah. We had an incredible wedding, an incredible reception and a really really incredible honeymoon. I have a lot to write and tons of pics to post but I just got home about an hour ago and we have so much unwrapping and unpacking that it might take me a few days.

Here's a kind of weird photo I was fooling around with. Just one for now. But stay tuned...much more to come.

the masons

I have a ton of things I want to get up on the blog. For now, here are a few shots from Lauren and James' wedding in California. Earlier in the month I posted some photos of a really scenic area just north of San Francisco. That was the setting for the Mason's wedding. They got married in this beautiful little state park. It was a very small, very intimate wedding out in the woods kind of overlooking a little cliff and a really gorgeous lake. Unfortunately, it was too far of a drive to make it to the ocean or the big cliffs I was at the day before but we still found some really cool places to shoot. So, here are a few of the 'formals' and a couple quick ones from the ceremony.

the key's wedding

Hangin out in the mid-west. I was part of a really beautiful ceremony a few weeks ago way out in the middle of Kansas. Both Katie and Sean are wonderful people and it was a real joy to be able to photograph their wedding.

en otras noticias: I'm tying the knot myself this upcoming weekend which is both exciting and petrifying. it's really amazing that I'm a part of so many people's weddings and this experience for me can still be so surreal.

next week Sarah and I will be heading down to the grenadines for our honeymoon so i'll be out of reach for about 10 days or so. i might still have email but you never know with these little carribbean islands.

free iPod Nano

all you have to do is refer someone to me for wedding photography and if they book me, I'll send you a brand new iPod nano. i've been putting a little bit of thought into advertising for the upcoming year and I really believe that word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertisement available. so, if you like what you see here and you believe in my work then chat it up for me and help me fill up my schedule.

if someone you know is getting married, get really excited and tell them you know THE BEST photographer and get them on my site. if they end up booking me then I'll send you a free iPod nano (or if you already have one you can opt for a $200 studio credit to use towards coverage, prints, or an album)

---THIS PROMO IS ONLY IN EFFECT UNTIL DECEMBER 31ST 2007---

mr. and mrs. ohl

this is WAY too many photos to put in one post but i post so rarely these days i feel like i need to make it a really good one. the Ohl's wedding was from a few weeks ago. i got to shoot with a good buddy of mine, Brandon Lata (whose website is coming soon) up in Buffalo, New York. The wedding was great but the reception was really really amazing. I'm not just being nice, it was incredible. It was in a retired church with huge ceilings and stain glass windows, there was crowd surfing, stage dancing, limbo contests, great food, plenty of drinks....

by the time i left the reception i really felt like i was part of the party.

so, hopefully you can make it to the end of these photos. i think this is more than i've ever put in one post but i just couldn't filter it down any lower!

where i was yesterday.

I'm incredibly behind with blogging. I have three weddings i need to get on here asap. but, i did have a few shots that i wanted to post from my weekend. i got to photograph a really fun wedding just north of san francisco this past weekend. it was in this beautiful state park (tomales) and the scenery was really amazing. there are deer and elk everywhere, huge cliffs where you can look out over the ocean and hear the sea lions and long winding roads where you can really see what your rental car is made of.

new blog!!

yes i'm long winded tonight but i just have so much to write about. you may have noticed that the blog looks a little/lot different. it's not very noticeable to normal people but to all the nerds out there this new interface is INSANELY better than the last blog. if you never saw it, too bad. i deleted it.

this new blog has links to old posts, a great archiving system, new headers each time you load the blog, an info page, and one of the coolest features is a super easy way to add comments. you never have to leave the blog to comment.

so, since this blog is so incredible, i need to do some advertising for the guy who created it. rob from fourminus.com is a GENIUS. this guy produced a blog in a few days that was exactly what i designed/requested. his rates are VERY reasonable and he's super easy to work with so if you need a new blog, drop him a line at rob@fourminus.com this guy can do anything!

here's the new blog. have a look around.
