I finally got a chance to do some close-ups of my family. I haven't shot the folks yet but I'll post some of the shots of my little brothers and my one sister. Here's Paul. He's an awesome keyboardist, guitarist, song-writer, and a student at UGA and he's been my brother for 19 years.
here's to michigan
I just got back from visiting Sarah in Michigan. We didn't take many pictures but we did snap these few one afternoon as the sun was setting. This was actually in a dirty, puddle-ridden lot behind an outlet mall. A little more proof that you can find something beautiful just about anywhere.

I think it's normal to give presents and to get presents for Christmas but I've never been given as a Christmas present before.
Joe's been following my photography and he decided to give his wife the gift of a portrait session with me. Call me Santa Claus.
Anyways, here's a fun portrait session with Kate.
phil and jen
phil and jen fischer. these are two of the most amazing and passionate people you could ever know. i was blessed to be able to shoot their wedding last week in Florida. the wedding was wonderful and the weather wasn't bad either (definitely a nice change from Buffalo)
the tree farm
Back in Augusta for a few days for Christmas and I thought I'd throw some fotos up from the Christmas tree farm with the family. I just want to let everyone out there know that it's time to start checking the blog again. I haven't been faithful to the updates, but I'm going to turn over a new leaf this year and update this blog at least weekly. Hopefully, with a lot of practice, I can work my way up to blogging every few days. Lot's of respect to all of the photographers who come up with creative work each and every day.
These were all shot with my bro's new camera; the D50. Another photographer in the family= yeehaw.

w w wow. it's been a while. last post was august 14th i think. i never was good at keeping a journal. i have been pretty busy lately though. the website has been undergoing some work, i've moved out of california, i've been booking clients for the new year...it's been pretty crazy.
so....i've got a ton of updating to do. i may have to start with the most recent and work backwards. i've got some great pictures that i want to get up but the priority has to go to a wedding i just shot.
i was able to go to boston last week to shoot a wedding for some friends of mine.
here are some of the shots.

this post got lost in the transition to the new blog. two of my best friends from college just had their second child. congratulations to dom and christine for not only having the cutest boy in so cal, but also the cutest girl. (who saw that one coming??)
sarah's house
sarah and i decided to embark upon a photographic adventure into the duality of man. in this juxtaposition (sp?)... (word?) we tried to capture something real: 'emotion'
my happy girlfriend
chicago?
chicago. the city of windy-ness. in all seriousness, this is one of the nicest cities i've ever visited. very clean, very cosmopolitan. sarah gave me the walking tour on tuesday. we rode a ferris wheel. pretty romantic, huh. we saw navy pier, a few weird fountains, big buildings, and a giant reflecting orb. i was thinking, aside from the cold winters, this might be a really great place to live.
the mac store on michigan ave. (one of the biggest shopping areas in the country, nay, the universe. sarah thought i was a dork for taking a picture of it, but i'm sure you mac nerds out there can appreciate it.
this was a pretty creative shot where, by using a very small aperture (deep depth of field), we projected the appearance that sarah was actually holding the city! very innovative and, i think, very very exciting. (hopefully you're picking up on the sarcasm because i'm laying it on pretty thick).
LA to Chicago
wow. flying is incredible. a window seat combined with Sigur Ros and Sufjan Stevens on the ipod, makes for a very surreal experience. it might be impossible to see the earth from that height and not think about how small your own life is, but the music definitely adds to the experience.
nick and tammy
my first buddhist wedding. lot of tradition. here are some of the shots from the day which also happened to be my birthday. the image is found took me out to lunch. those guys rock. check them out at www.theimageisfound.com/blog (sorry this isn't a link. it's hard to remember the code)

The updating continues. I still haven't caught up with switching all of the old posts over to the new blog. Why didn't I just start fresh? I don't know. Because I like being behind on everything, I guess. One more wedding with Jay tomorrow then I'm heading to Chicago for a few days and and after that, to South Carolina to see the 'fam'.
This is my first text post with this new blog thang. So...that's pretty exciting - I'm really excited - I'm really exciting. Eventually maybe I'll go back and add in text to all of the old posts. And eventually maybe I'll get a website. And...eventually......there's a long list.
Here are the pictures from the 115 degree wedding I went to with The Image is Found. Enjoy.
