Gray Benko is a good friend of ours and was kind enough to take some really awesome portraits of Benjamin a few weeks ago. Yeah, it's weird to post another photographer's work on my photography website but she's just better with babies than I am and I haven't taken any great photos of the little tyke yet! Be sure to check her out if you need a kids photographer!
Benjamin Michael Willoughby
We're probably just going to call him Ben. Or maybe not. Sarah corrects me every time I say Ben so maybe that won't happen.
Sarah, my wonderful wife, really amazed me this time with Willoughby 2.0
I didn't think I could love number dos as much as Dom but I really do. He's completely perfect. Ears, nose, eyes, short brown hair. And a huge cleft in his chin.
And as soon as they make a raw plugin for the brand new Nikon D3100 I will put up a ton of photos! In the meantime, you guys are stuck waiting. I've got one tiny black and white for you guys for now and the other photos are of Sarah a few hours before we went to the hospital and Dominic watching and stealing the spotlight.
Dom's first birthday! (actually, it was almost two months ago!)
We don't have enough photos of this kid. He's so huge and cute. BTW, we've given him at least five haircuts at this point (not that it shows...) For those of you with kids; Dom just started walking and he's hilarious. He consciously keeps his arms down like a real human! Ha. For those of you without kids: I'm sure you don't care about that story or this post....
You just wait until it's your turn.
Dom's 8 months. ish
Everytime I tell people how old Dom is I get corrected because I'm always about a month off. I can't keep up. He just started crawling this week and he's a handful. It's not really crawling because he doesn't use his legs....he just drags himself along by his arms. Anyways, picking him up is impossible because he can't stop trying to grab everything that's NOT in reach and putting him down's out of the question because he drags himself towards the computer cables. One thing that's kinda funny though for those of you who have kids (if you don't have kids you'll just think I'm lame for even writing this) is that he loves our dog but she's terrified of him. So, in our tiny house, she doesn't really have anywhere to hide so dom drags himself around the house like a crazy injured soldier following her and laughing/cackling the whole way. It's hilarious. I should have a video but I just don't. Maybe I'll get Sarah on that. So, heres a shot of him from last week. ish. He'll grow into his nose one day...

Sarah and I had our first child on Monday night (Aug 10th)! Sarah is incredible. She wanted to have the birth naturally so she didn't get an epidural. She started having intense contractions around 8:30 am and labored 14 hours using the Bradley method of relaxation . At 10:30pm the obgyn insisted that the labor wasn't progressing at all and that a c-section would be necessary. Apparently Sarah has what the doctor called "little boy hips". It gets kind of technical...
Obviously a c-section is not what Sarah wanted but it worked out for the best. The delivery at that point was quick and everything went very smoothly. At 11:27 pm a beautiful, healthy boy was born! His name is Dominic and he's 7 lbs 11 oz and 22.5 inches long. Some how I was able to snap a couple pics of everything that happened and I put it into a little slideshow. Don't worry, there isn't anything too graphic. It's just a little 5 minute video so hopefully it's done loading by now. If it isn't FULLY loaded, just keep waiting. It's kind of annoying if it starts and then stops 20 times.
Thanks for checking in, everyone, and for keeping us in your thoughts.
