Quick preview from a seriously amazing couple. Lots more to come.
Charleston Bridal Session; Legare Waring House
More to come from Katharine's bridal portraits in Charleston last weekend...
Asheville: preview
Lots of weddings and shoots to post but I'm starting slow. Here's a preview of an amazing wedding I photographed recently in Asheville, North Carolina.
New Proofing and a Charleston Engagement Session
I photographed a wonderful couple yesterday afternoon. We started the ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY at the battery and then finished the session just outside of CHARLESTON. Kris and Jacob are getting married this September at BOONE HALL PLANTATION. Very excited for that wedding!
Sorry I haven't been blogging. This always happens to me. The days/weeks are just too short.
The KING STREET STUDIO is fully functional at this point but still needs a ton of work before I can post photos.
In other news, I got a brand spankin new proofing system that I'm pretty jazzed about.
If you want to check it out, you can view Kris and Jacob's full session and the new gallery here:

Sarah and Dominic
I'm still alive and well. Sorry I went MIA again from the blog! Things have been super hectic. On top of how busy I've been, and this is great, I have been struck down with the flu this week. Yes. Thanks universe.
I didn't bother getting a flu shot this year because my superior immune system is above it. Also, Dwight says you shouldn't coddle your immune system and his advice is pretty sound usually.
I can't complain too much, especially after watching 127 Hours where the guy uses a pocket knife to cut his own arm off to survive. Not a bad movie if you don't need dialogue to be entertained. The whole time though I kept thinking of James Franco's acting lessons
PS: This shot of Sarah and Dom was taken on the iphone
Thomas and Christine teaser
Howdy. I'm sorry I don't have any awesome blog posts for you guys this week. This is my last week at the old studio so I'm working a ton on the new space to get it ready to move into this weekend. I thought I should keep up some of the steam from last week though and post a quick image from one of the weddings I'm working on. I'll definitely post more as soon as I can.
Beau & Brittany
I can't believe I never blogged this wonderful Augusta wedding! We photographed Beau and Brittany's wedding a million years ago. I'm trying to keep my posts a little shorter so here are just a few images of this beautiful couple.
Yesterday Morning
These two kids are such an amazing joy in my life. It's true what they say. They really do grow up so fast. Dominic is the sweetest kid I've ever met. I just don't know how he went from baby to kid so fast.
He's got some sign language down but his words are still limited to daa and baa. He understands everything though. And his personality is so apparent. He's just like us but he's definitely his own little man.
Benjamin is super cute and putting on about a pound a day. Not literally. But it does seem like that.
Holy crap. I have two kids. Not sure how that happened.
Oh wait. I remember.
Sadly, I don't have any pics of Sarah from this morning to post. She was catching up on some much needed zzz's.
Thanks for reading this...
t
PS: There are about 6 photos of Dom trying to read to me or Benjamin and a few of him playing dad. Wearing slippers, working at the computer, etc. I'd put these comments as captions but I'm an idiot and can't figure out how to do that...
Savannah Magazine
This isn't the usual Charleston Wedding Photography but here's a small fashion spread from a recent Savannah Magazine shoot I did. I have about 5 new covers I need to post soon but I owe you guys a wedding or two first...
Benjamin Willoughby!
Gray Benko is a good friend of ours and was kind enough to take some really awesome portraits of Benjamin a few weeks ago. Yeah, it's weird to post another photographer's work on my photography website but she's just better with babies than I am and I haven't taken any great photos of the little tyke yet! Be sure to check her out if you need a kids photographer!
Mallory's Bridal
This was from a while back but I'm just now posting it.
Sorry to deprive you all! Mallory was one of my favorite brides from 2010 and I hope you guys love her Augusta bridal portraits. Here are a few from the shoot we did in River Island GA.
Best Wishes,
Tim Willoughby
Morgan and Ben (teaser)
I just started working on Morgan and Ben's December wedding but I only have one photo for you guys at the moment.
I will say that the rest are even better though. Good light, good locations, and a really cool couple make my job super easy.
I'll get the rest up sometime soon.
In the mean time, I'll give you guys an update on the TIMWILL Charleston weddings and portrait studio.
Brandon Lata (www.fellicistudio.com) came down last weekend from Buffalo to help with renovations (because he's an incredibly generous friend) and we worked our asses off around the clock trying to finish everything up.
Unfortunately, the dust in this place made our job impossible. I spent the night before Brando got in knocking down those boards from the rafters and by the time I left you could barely see across the studio because of the dust. I spent the entire next day cleaning while Brando started on electric work and then we discovered two other ledges above the rafters with about 4 inches of dust accumulated. Two ledges, 50 feet long with 4x4 inches of dust. Rented a shop vac which didn't work and blew dust everywhere and then tried to hold it up on the ladder while vacuuming. Didn't work. Had to knock all the dust down and then re-shop vac the entire place the next day.
SO, we spent 2.5 days cleaning dust with a piece of shit shop vac that clogged every 5 minutes and blew so much dust everywhere that we still have a huge mess on our hands. Brando flew back to Buffalo and I'm sick as a dog from inhaling all of that 150 year old dust.
This job sucks.
Oh, and I pulled nails out of the beams from the rafters for 4 hours straight to make the re-claimed wood wall.
So, yeah, this project may never be completed. I still need to install windows, paint, lighting, do floor molding and crown molding, paint that, and then comes the huge task of decorating. Wow. I'm overwhelmed.
I'm sure it'll get done eventually though. And someday, this space is going to be incredible.
If there's anyone out there that feels like swinging by and working for free in a very dirty environment along side a wheezing T Dubs, shoot me an email ;)
PS: I got an RSS feed installed on the blog. Just click the 'subscribe' button in the nav.
Also, the blog guys (link at the bottom of the blog) fixed the image clarity issue so everything should be nice and crisp now.
PSS: I still have the flash website with music and slideshows, etc that you can see via the 'Portfolio' button in the navigation bar.
