justin and michelle

Justin Demers. A lot of people who read this blog probably already know who he is. Insanely good photographer? Canadian? ringing any bells yet? Well, he was my photographer when I got married last year and probably just to be a nice guy, he hired me to photograph him and his beautiful wife/business partner Michelle when they got married last month. These guys are hilarious. I’m pretty sure I laughed the whole shoot.

Gorgeous, gorgeous. I love when photographers shoot other photographers. The creativity, the composition, the post-processing…. everything goes up a notch. Great set.

wrecklessgirl:

these turned out
colorfully fabulous.

snazzy, even.

jean:

oo i love this wedding.. great pics :)

Gabe :: perspectiveye:

PERFECT!! That’s all there is to say….PERFECT.

Becca:

If everything goes up a notch when you shoot other photographers can you just pretend I’m a photographer :) I don’t think I can really decipher between your levels of “notches”–it’s all top notch to me! Since I’m taking the time to write a lengthy comment (note that I assert laziness and lack of critique skills as my excuses too-footnote here to comments on Heather’s shoot above) I would like to say that I really love the view point or perspective (or whatever you call it) in the kissing or should I say approach to kiss shot–it seems a repeat concept in your wedding and engagement pics but each one is just a little different. I like them generally, and especially this one of Justin and Michelle cuz it reminds of Klimt’s “Kiss” (minus the gold leafing and over exposure in college dorm rooms)–kinda captures weddings well–dresses, suits, flowers, sunshine all around but in the middle a small moment of anticipation, intimacy and love. Okay…that’s my post for this year! Take that!

matt sloan:

great job bro!

Kevin Lam:

That’s awesome seeing Justin in front of the camera! Justin was my photographer for my wedding too. Great job!

andy:

i love the 8th one down a lot. i shot another pro-photogs wedding once and it was also an insane great time.

john pascale:

What the… that pic of them on eather side of the truck/trailer, looks like their are suspended in mid air. Very cool, all of them

Christy:

This looks like it was alot of fun. Love the socks. Great photos.

susan yee:

Sarah Metts:

These are great, I like the one of him helping her button her dress, and the ones next to the colorfully painted wall. You have done an amazing job on your weddings this summer, Tim!

TK:

nice. i like the one by trailers.

Melanie:

These are SO badass! I think you and Justin are two of the best photogs out there!

Laura E @ Southern Weddings:

Oh my gosh. This couple is so cool. Great shots of them in front of that colorful wall. Love it.

kiri:

anna & gabe

you may remember anna from a bridal shoot a few posts back. anna and gabe are two friends of mine from college days. gabe and i also did some traveling together in europe at one point so i was pretty excited to be able to shoot their wedding. it was a genuine and beautiful ceremony and a crazy party afterwards. i’m not much of a writer so i don’t usually say much about these posts but i have to tell you that anna and gabe love each other as much as any two people i’ve ever seen. when you witness something like that, it’s moving; even if you’ve been to 100 other weddings, it’s a very special gift.anyways, enough gooey emotional stuff; here are some nice photos…. here’s one to show you we still take the traditional family shots in addition to the fun ones.

Mike Blaha:

Fantastic Tim! Great job!

Jenna Andersen:

Did you use HDR on the shot of the bride using the veil? It’s one of your coolest images to date I think. I am so sending my photog over here to check out your group composition skills. Who would want posed formal shots when they can have group shots like the ones you did for the bridal party at the beginning of this post.

Kelly Lee:

OK, I just have to say…. WOW! The shot of Gabe through Anna’s veil…. I stopped on that photo for forever. Tim… always inspiring! I think that just became one of my favorite shots… ever.

matt sloan:

that 6th one is radlicious!

Alexander Johnnides:

i feel like the veil shot is one of my favorites so far. i love it! great idea! The photo right above it, the expression in is is perfect! great work man!

sarah (the ol’ ball and chain).

so, just for fun, sarah and i took some pics near the home-front a couple weeks ago. i kinda had to force her to let me post these (she’s a little shy).anyways, we only shot for about 30 minutes at this one location before it started raining so we’ll probably take another swing at it in the future if we find a really cool location. meanwhile, here’s 7 that i really liked.
