us.

my really good friend at Fellici Studio met up with me to shoot a wedding and ended up snapping a few shots of sarah and me a couple months back. i feel a little funny posting them but I was thinking I should put up some personal stuff every once in a while. i feel a little better behind the camera than in front of it but Sarah did really great.

Sean and Liza are a great couple that hail from Eugene, OR.
E-shoot: Clemson campus
Wedding: Charleston, SC
I shot their engagement pics a few weeks ago and I was able to shoot their wedding about a week later. The wedding was awesome and took place right in the middle of one of those monster hurricane’s. It was kind of an adventure shooting in the rain. at night. in a hurricane. Stay tuned for those pics. Meanwhile, enjoy the images from the e-sesh in the blistering sun….

Wow - fantastic session! I really like the one on the porch. Great flare.

Jamie Lawler:

I nearly had a photogasm with these. I love them! The moments, the perspective, the processing. I love these. Did I say that already? Because I love them.

bradie:

Crazy Good Man! I love the lines in the last one. Great Vision!

john pascale:

I love the lighting in the first two and the last one. great shots all of them!

Kate:

I check the blog regularly - won’t lie. I work for a photographer who doesn’t know what he’s doing, and I am the production manager who is left to make the photographs attractive. So I look here to see what you have done, and it makes my day. I just sit here and wonder what you did to make it look like you did. I love dissecting them - from the original shot, to the finished product. You have an “eye” no doubt about that. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us, and thanks for the inspiration. You make my day all the better.

w. scott chester:

sweet session. i’m really diggin the sky in the first shot.

ok. i haven’t posted in a long time. and before that, it was kind of a long time, and actually, it was a long time before that one too. i guess the bottom line is i haven’t been posting very regularly. it’s summer time and i’m really busy and blah blah blah.

i have to be honest, people. it is a little hard to make yourself write a journal and put forth all this effort and only get a couple measly comments. now, for those two or three of you that did comment, i’m not calling you measly. i’m talking to the random viewer in brazil who never says anything (yeah, i know you’re out there. i can see you in my stats). a lot of people come to this blog right? i know there are loyal viewers and if you’re reading this, then you must be one of them because if you weren’t, you’d have been de-terd by the fact that i never post and you wouldn’t be here at this very moment reading each and every word i type. so, why don’t you do me a favor, take a moment, and let me know why it is you never comment. i want to know….;)

Mark Elkins:

Great to see you post again, Tim. These are super super good.

Stacy Reeves:

I never comment because I am lazy and have nothing valuable to say other than “good job!” but i read regularly and look forward to every post :)

Boston Bride:

It’s a photography blog - I’m here to look at pictures, not talk politics :)
I guess I could write “wow!” after every post, but it’s hard to turn a bunch of oooohs and aaaaahs into a valuable comment. Keep up the great work, though!

Shaina:

I don’t comment because I figure you get tired of hearing EVERYONE say “that’s amazing!” I subscribe in mail and (like Stacy) am lazy, and rarely click through. I will say that I throughly enjoy all of your posts. I follow something like 75 photo blogs and you are right up there with Bobbi + Mike, and Jasmine Star at the top. :-)

gian:

I like the red one like point of interest, very nice. Hi from Panamá city.

Michelle:

I love your photography - so unique, and warm and emotion filled. Truly works of art. I don’t comment because I figured you’re so good you have tons of people telling you how good you are and would you really care about what I have to say? But as a fellow blogger I do understand how great it is to see when people take the time to say something.

Jamie Lawler:

I don’t comment because I’m too busy applauding. Your work is amazing - I love it. I really do look forward to your posts.

Becca:

See post below Justin and Michelle–but also note that I don’t comment on this page much but I do comment to my friends, my sisters, my co-workers, and anyone else that asks me how my wedding planning is going–I tell them all about how excited I am about the photographer I booked, and then, to get them excited too–I send them to your webpage and blog. Keep truckin’and you’ll get monetary positive reinforcement not just comentary positive reinforcement :)

admin:

ok, you guys are awesome. just made my day! I guess I’ll keep posting….maybe even more than once a millenium!

Kelly Diaz:

Tim, these are incredible. They’re all incredible, I definitely get on your site on a regular basis if I can, sorry for not posting. Keep it up!

admin:

ps: admin means me/tim.

andy stenz:

{sarcasm} I just haven’t seen anything worth commenting on, it’s really all just rubbish. I don’t know why I continually return to this site. It’s not like this guy even knows what he’s doing. How’s a new photog supposed to learn anything from work like this? {/sarcasm}

Fantastic work Tim. Thanks for sharing it with us!

matt sloan:

oh snipe! love that 3rd one a lots. like amybe more than that. but i can’t figure out how to say it in less than 5 words. :)

Mark:

I often don’t comment on photographers sites if I don’t know them personally - even if I have them in my google reader. Why - I’m not sure - I guess I figure you aren’t interested in a lot of “awesome stuff” praise from people you don’t know.

Now why do I read it - I love your style. My own style has been evolving this last year from all these amazing influences I’ve found and you’re one of them. In the examples above I think it’s your subtle use of textures that makes me stop and just appreciate the work. I’m still heavy handed sometimes with them and your work reminds me the subtle and just hints of effect is wonderful.

Alexander Johnnides:

i love the black and whites in this batch the most…rather the”unsaturated” ones, because their not all the way black and white. and i decided i want your texture package.
other than that great work! i think all of us at formed by grace always look foward to your new posts, and always inform the other when you have a new post. we really look up to your work…thanks for the inspiration..brother

Katie Bumstead:

i think i never post because i’m not a photographer.. so my opinion really shouldn’t matter?? :) either way… you know that i love your work. the 6th one of this post is my favorite.

Stacey:

Like many here, I love to view photography but don’t know the right words to say. I live in Augusta and someone mentioned your work for me to view. I think your work is amazing! I check your blog at least once a week to see your pics… I spread the word of how awesome your work is…so in some cases actions are better than words :)

Christy:

I love them ALL! After all she is my daugther. Tim, your work is incredible! You have a creative mind that just doesn’t stop. We are still trying to pick the ones we want. My family and friends can’t stop talking about how different each shot is. Your are a real trooper in my book after all I believe the temp that day was 103. Thanks for helping me make memories of my senior.

Jen:

I don’t leave comments b/c by the time I get to the end of the post I am waaaaaay too busy jumping up & down about you photographing our wedding! See you in 2 weeks!

Pamela:

I never comment because I’m too busy being depressed that your aren’t photographing my wedding. I found you after booking someone else!

admin:

TIMWILL: THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO COMMENTED HERE! i appreciate every single nice word or constructive critique. it really made my week to see how many people liked the work I’ve been putting up and knowing how many check in on a daily or weekly basis.
boston bride, i totally agree: i want to keep this about photography; it’s not a forum or a poetry blog or anything having to do with politics ;) and i want to keep it that way. i just needed the boost I guess :)
A lot of you said you don’t comment because you don’t have anything important to say: i don’t care. I love hearing anything from anyone. I get a little message on my phone when someone comments so everytime some one does it, I get a little buzz in my pocket and a smile on my face. The smile is because someone commented, not because of the buzzing…
i want to reply to everyone here but as you can see my blog is now in need of a scroll bar for the comment section. if i get that installed, i’ll try to respond to everyone.
thanks again for checking in.

Kristin Tegethoff:

Tim..I come every week or so. I’d be lying if I said I don’t love seeing pics of lovely Sarah along with your regular work–facebook sometimes just doesn’t cut it to see what you guys have been up to. Now I feel like a stalker. Anyway, your work is amazing, and I usually have a crowd of girls around the computer when I’m checking out your latest (I live with 10 girls and work with 20, uknow..). I usually then leave up the website for a little while just to have the great music playing while we’re working :). From now on I promise to attempt regular comments.

Meta:

I don’t comment because it makes real the fact that I’m avoiding work.
